Mission & Vision

MISSION: The Global League of Community Sustainers (“La Liga Global”) is a transnational network that expresses the collective power of migrant remitters and their families in communities of origin as transnational sustainers. Together we promote a more fair and equitable global economy by engaging the private sector and governments in social responsibility and reinvestment to sustain our communities. Our members build economic democracy through strategies of community empowerment and action.

VISION: La Liga Global believes that a new version of globalization is necessary and possible, where each person’s human rights and dignity are upheld and respected. Migrant remitters and their families, especially women as sustainers of the current global economy, have the capacity to advance an era of transnational cooperation and identity that builds a sustainable future for generations.
