La Liga Global Celebrates Transnational Families!
December 10-18, 2009
Members of LA LIGA GLOBAL worldwide are joining together for a week of coordinated actions for December 10-18, from Human Rights Day to International Migrants Day.
Actions are being planned in Providence, New York, New Haven, Oakland, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Korea, Bangladesh, Mexico, and El Salvador.

Our December activities signal the emergence of a new global movement–a force that can make migration an option and not a necessity for economic survival under globalization.
Planned activities include: dance party, remittance raffle, dinner with transnational foods, caravan of migrants and families, family day celebration, film screenings, concert, etc.
